PRETORIA DEFENSIVE PISTOL CLUB

Magnum was founded in 1975, when 2 shooting clubs merged, Magnum Shooting Club and the United Shooting club came together after losing access to their range at the time. The shooting range was unnamed as it was initially a private shooting club.

ABOUT

Magnum United Shooting Range is home to the Tactical Defence Institute, PDPC and Magnum United Shooting Club. The range is open to the public and sport shooters alike.

Pretoria Defensive Pistol Club (PDPC) is part of the South African Defensive Pistol Association (SADPA).
SADPA itself was established to promote defensive shooting as a sport in South Africa.

PDPC focuses on providing a safe and structured environment for members to practice and compete in defensive shooting. The club organizes monthly shoots on the 1st Saturday, fostering a community of enthusiasts who share a passion for the sport.

Location: The club is situated on the R104 Old Bronkhorstspruit Road, hosted on the Magnum United shooting range.

Facilities: It features 16* ranges, including a 100m range and a “simulated house” for tactical training. There’s also a 250sqm clubhouse with braai (barbecue) facilities, making it suitable for hosting events and functions.

Membership: Becoming a member of the Pretoria Defensive Pistol Club provides benefits like reduced range fees and access to club shoots.
