Rooikraal Shooting Club

After facing various challenges over the years, both internal and external, the club evolved into what we now know as RSC. The club found its home at the Rooikraal Shooting Range, conveniently located between Alberton and Heidelberg, just off the N3 highway. Officially opening its doors in June/July 2014.

Despite the limited budget and resources, the club came together with enough equipment to start building regular SADPA stages. And, as they say, the rest is history!

Although privately owned, RSC operates like a community-driven club with a dedicated team of shooting discipline leaders acting as the EXCO. Our vision is to create a dynamic Sports Shooting Club that embraces a variety of shooting disciplines—moving beyond the traditional single-discipline clubs. We aim to offer something for everyone, fostering an inclusive environment for all shooters.

Here’s what we offer on weekends:

• 1st Saturday: Steel Challenge
• 2nd Saturday: SADPA
• 3rd Saturday: IPSC & ICORE
• 4th Saturday: TACSport (The Armed Civilian)

SADPA remains our largest discipline, as it’s the foundation from which RSC has grown. However, our other disciplines are quickly gaining in popularity! While we encourage members to join sport shooting associations, RSC doesn’t require it. You’re free to enjoy all the disciplines we offer, with DSS accreditation available through various channels.

At RSC, we take pride in our friendly and supportive culture. Every member is encouraged and assisted in improving their shooting skills. We regularly organize training sessions, both with experienced club members and external experts, to ensure everyone has the opportunity to grow and excel.
