SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
At SADPA, we strive to foster a positive and inclusive online community for all shooting enthusiasts. Our social media platforms serve as valuable channels for communication, interaction, and promotion of our sport. To ensure a respectful and enjoyable experience for all users, we have established the following social media policy:
1. Respectful Communication: We expect all participants to communicate respectfully and courteously. Treat others with kindness and refrain from engaging in personal attacks, derogatory language, or any form of harassment.
2. Inappropriate Comments and Trolling: Inappropriate comments, including but not limited to offensive language, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or trolling, will not be tolerated. Such behaviour detracts from the positive atmosphere we aim to maintain within our community.
3. Blocking and Moderation: In cases where comments or interactions violate our guidelines, we reserve the right to take appropriate action. This may include blocking accounts or removing comments, posts, or any other form of content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or disruptive to the community.
4. Spam and Bots: Spamming and using bots or automated systems are strictly prohibited. This includes repetitive posting of irrelevant or unsolicited content, promotion of unrelated products or services, or any activities that compromise the integrity of our social media platforms.
5. Privacy and Confidentiality: We respect the privacy of our community members in accordance with the POPIA . Avoid sharing personal information of others without their consent, such as addresses, phone numbers, or any other confidential details, in public comments or discussions. a. words or images that personally attack, humiliate or defame an individual.
b. content that threatens, discriminates, harasses, menaces or causes offence including online stalking.
c. a fake profile of an individual or business.
d. depictions of nudity, pornography or child abuse.
e. depictions of excessive violence.
f. illegal content, gives instructions for illegal activity or advocates terrorist activities.
7. Reporting Inappropriate Content: We encourage our community members to report any inappropriate content, comments, or behaviour they come across on our social media platforms. You can do so by utilizing the reporting features available on the respective platforms or by contacting our official SADPA channels directly.
8. Compliance with Code of Conduct: all posts by SADPA members must comply with SADPA’s Code of Conduct.
